On Sunday, 18th August 2019, Alumni Relations Office organized UTP Alumni Ride 2019 aiming to nurture friendship and building stronger network between UTP alumni, UTP staff and local community through shared interest and Merdeka spirit in conjunction with the Independence’s month. A total of 54 participants, gathered predawn for this exciting event at the start/finish line. The event started by registration of participants in front of the Masjid Putra with giving out the specially designed event jersey, bib numbers and goodie bags to the participants. All of the riders and marshals safely arrived 3 hours later after a challenging but enjoyable bike ride through. The event ended by a closing speech and a presentation of souvenir to the Pinky Riders marshal team by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni, Assoc. Prof Dr. Nor Hisham Hamid. This initiative received positive and overwhelming feedbacks, and many have requested for it to be an annual alumni event.
