JAUH DI MATA, DEKAT DI HATI

On 18 September 2020, 30 UTP alumni from Thailand located in various locations and countries were reconnected back to their alma mater in an engagement session called Virtual Coffee Chats. This engagement was made seamless via Microsoft Team hosted by the leader, Mr Sermphon Klaiseengern, Petroleum Engineering, Class of 2013.

This Virtual Coffee Chats witnessed a sharing session between Professor Ts. Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib, UTP's Vice Chancellor and our alumni on their updates and success stories. Our Prof VC also stressed on the importance of alumni role in UTP and the various ways for them to give back to their Alma mater. During this session, 3 Thailand alumni leaders were identified and appointed as the focal person for UTP. They are Mr Sermphon Klaiseengern, leader based in Malaysia, Mr Abeedin Adulphakdee, leader in Bangkok and Ms Nursahida Useng, leader in South of Thailand.

In this new normal, we hope this virtual engagement has forged stronger ties and promote active involvement between the University and its alumni. The university look forward to more initiatives with our international ambassadors.

Bon Voyage
