UTP visited Vietnam in late March 2019, hosting 2 engagement sessions with our alumni in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh respectively. Coming together to celebrate alumni success stories in their home country as well as explore opportunities for more alumni activities and engagement, these sessions would not have been possible without the support of our internal partners from Institute of Transport Infrastructure, Center of Graduate Studies and all of the Lead Custodians.
Special gratitude and appreciation go to our alumni leaders from Vietnam, Nguyen Chi Cuong, Mukh Tar and Chi Nguyen, who have helped us in making this initiative a success. Approximately 40% of the UTP alumni population in Vietnam are from Hanoi and 60% are from Ho Chi Minh City. 69% of our alumni that attended the engagement in Hanoi were from Information System followed by Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. In Ho Chi Minh City, 95% of alumni were from Chemical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
