In line with PETRONAS' directive, effective 1 October 2021, those who wish to enter UTP must be fully vaccinated and provide a valid certificate of vaccination upon entry. This requirement will be imposed on all staff, students and contractors involved in the daily operations as well as visitors to the campus.
A fully vaccinated person means:
- 14 days after the second dose in a 2-dose vaccine, such as the Pfizer, AstraZeneca or Sinovac vaccines,
- 28 days after a single-close vaccine such as Johnson & Johnson's Janssen or CanSino vaccines, or
- Any other vaccines as approved by the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) and the corresponding optimum immune response and protection duration, and any booster doses imposed by the Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia from time to time; or any vaccination performed outside of Malaysia using vaccines recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The University would like to urge those yet to be vaccinated to complete their vaccination as soon as possible. You are encouraged to get your vaccination via walk in at the vaccination centres listed here or register via this link.
