​Rakan Muda UTP - ‘Salam Darussalam’ Cross Cultural Programme (30 Nov - 4 Dec 2009)

 

33 members of the youth secretariat of “Rakan Muda UTP” in collaboration with BRUNEI DARUSSALAM AID COUNCIL (PENYINAR) and NATIONAL ANTI-DRUG ASSOCIATION OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM (BASMIDA) had organised a Cross Cultural programme called ‘Salam Darussalam’ on 30th November until 4th December 2009. This educational and cross cultural visit to Brunei Darussalam had given ample opportunities to the delegates through series of community services activities.

NATIONAL ANTI-DRUG ASSOCIATION OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM (BASMIDA) welcomed UTP delegates with a cultural performance namely ‘Dondang’ and’ Marhabban’. The exchange of cultural performance was also extended with the performances of ‘Seloka” by the Rakan Muda UTP. Among the activities held were awareness programme on AIDS to the teenagers of the country which was officiated by Datin Hajjah Edah bt Mohd Noor, President of the PENYINAR and wife to the Minister of the Education Ministry of Brunei Darussalam and; educational visits to the Brunei Oil Gas Discovery, Muzium Brunei, Pusat Promosi Kesihatan and Kampung Air.
