Road Safety and Crime Talk by The Malaysian Royal Police (23 Dec 2009)
Realizing the importance of Malaysian Law awareness with regards to traffic and crime rules and regulation, International Students Unit (ISU), Residential College Support Unit (RCSU) and Health Safety Environment (HSE) Department with the support from Security Department of UTP organized the Road Safety and Crime Talk by the Malaysian Royal Police on 23rd December 2009 at Seminar Room 4, Undercroft.
The objectives of the talk are to provide awareness among UTP students on the police roles and crime in Malaysia, share experience and knowledge about road safety and the effects of neglecting road safety, thus reduce road accidents in and outside UTP and to build a safe environment in UTP.

The first talk was delivered by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Madam Siti Azzah Bt Abd Rashid and assisted by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Miss Lim Chee Hui. Both speakers have given a talk about “Overview of Police Roles and Crime in Malaysia”.
The second talk was delivered by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mr. Abdul Malik Bin Abu Bakar entitled “Road Safety Awareness”.

About 63 international and 5 local students attended this program.me ISU, RCSU and HSED hope that this continuous commitment towards excellence on health, safety and environment especially on crime prevention and road safety awareness will be vital in creating awareness among UTP students on the responsibilities towards the community and themselves which stress on their obedience to follow safety guidelines. This program will also be a medium for students to grab valuable knowledge and experience.
