​Tunas Cemerlang Charity Programme : Hari Raya Shopping Raya with Orphans of Bait Al-Amin (12 Sep 2009)

12th September 2009 - Tunas Cemerlang is a charity program organized by Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS for the orphans of Bait Al-Amin, Parit, Perak.This programme is funded by Cyber Security, Ministry of Science and Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and in collaboration with the Federation of Women Associations (FEM). Tunas Cemerlang has conducted a series of educational and motivational programmes in August 2009 and will continue until October 2009 such as UPSR & PMR workshops, motivational programs, visit to PETROSAINS and many more programmes with the aim of providing educational and motivational exposure to the orphans of Bait Al-Amin.

Last Saturday, 44 orphans were brought to Jaya Jusco, Ipoh along with 31 UTP students’ facilitators and officers from Cyber Security to cheer up their Hari Raya preparations by giving them the opportunity to shop at Jaya Jusco. MOSTI has been very thoughtful to sponsor each orphan RM 150.00 to enjoy the meaning of Aidilfitri at their very own choice. The management of Jaya Jusco Ipoh has also provided full support in ensuring the smooth running of the event and even distributed some token of appreciations to the orphans.
