Academic Advisory Council Meeting 2010 (10 Aug 2010)
The Academic Advisory Council (AAC) of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) held their eighth meeting on 10 August 2010 at level 86, Tower 1, PETRONAS Twin Towers. The Council amongst others discussed matters relating to the strategic development of the university including its R&D efforts and international linkages. The Council also acts as a forum for the exchange of ideas between academicians and those from industries, whilst providing guidance and strategic direction on the development of the university.
The meeting was kicked off with the introduction of the new council members. They are:

The evening before the meeting, the Chairman hosted a dinner for the council members at Polo Lounge, Palace of the Golden Horses Hotel.
Earlier, some of the council members were entertained by UTP students’ performance in ‘Tapestry of Colours – A Concert in Support of Yayasan UTP’ at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP) on 7 August followed by a tour and discussion session to provide additional inputs to the Management Committee and Senate Members of UTP at the university campus in Bandar Seri Iskandar, Perak on 9 August 2010.
