Official Closing of E-STREAM Waves 2020 by Perak Menteri Besar

Yesterday, we were honoured to have our Perak Menteri Besar YAB Dato' Seri Ahmad Faizal Dato’ Azumu to officiate the closing of E-STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Waves 2020 event via online. 

The E-STREAM Waves 2020 was held in collaboration with UTP, Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB), Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Pertubuhan Rakan Komuniti Pendidikan Perak (PRKPP) with the support from Ministry of Education (MOE).

The event was launched on 28 May 2020, as the university’s Social Responsibility Education Pillar project. The project aimed to synergise the efforts of university, community and government ministry partnerships to create opportunities for students to continue learning even and especially during the COVID-19 lockdown months.

The E-STREAM Waves offered numerous online STEM, reading and arts competitions and challenges for Malaysian children across the country to participate in. The closing ceremony also saw the announcement of the competition winners and highlights of their achievements.

Also present at the closing ceremony were PRKPP Chairman YBhg Datin Normah Hanum Dato’ Ibrahim, AELB Director General Tuan Haji Mohd Pauzi Mohd Sobari, together with representatives from MOSTI, MOE and Perak State Education Department.
