UTP Remains The Nation’s Number One Private University In Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) has reached another milestone in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023, surging to the 401-500 band from its previous ranking of 501-600. In the latest rankings, the university has significantly improved its scores for citation.
With this achievement, UTP has retained its position as Malaysia's number one private university and successfully placed as second among Malaysian universities and sixth among ASEAN universities.
UTP Vice Chancellor Professor Ts Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib said, “The recognition by THE is an accomplishment that we take pride in and we will continue to strive up the rankings.
“The rankings are further endorsement of UTP’s reputation as a world-leading research and educational institution. The results are a reflection of our commitment to fostering a world-class research, teaching environment and student experience that supports our goal to become a sustainable global prominent institution,” Professor Mohamed Ibrahim said.
"We are truly appreciative of PETRONAS and our partners' unwavering support for this achievement. We would also like to express our appreciation to all staff and students for their dedication and commitment.
