We are proud to announce that Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) has been honoured with the prestigious Research Entrepreneur Award at the Malaysia Commercialisation Year (MCY) Summit 2024 for the Hollow Fiber Membrane Prediction Program (HFMPP™). The award was presented on 12 August 2024 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre by YAB Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia. 

This remarkable achievement recognises the outstanding contributions of the research team led by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Lau Kok Keong, along with Dr. Serene Lock Sow Mun and Prof. Dr. Azmi B. Mohd Shariff. The award is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit that drive UTP forward in the realms of research, development, and commercialisation. 

The Hollow Fiber Membrane Prediction Program (HFMPP™) is a commercial simulation tool designed to predict the separation performance of membrane systems for gas and liquid under varying industrial parameters.
