INNOVATION AND IPR
CISIR participate in various exhibition including International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition
(ITEX) and China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF). The exhibition served as the excellent platform
where were able to exhibit our product and receive feedback from peers and leaders and gain valuable exposure
on prospects in innovation and commercialization.
SOFTWARE TOOLS
CISIR researchers has been developed advances signal processing techniques and utilize various neuroimaging
modalities (e.g., EEG, fNIRs, ECG, EMG, fMRI, PPG, LFSG, Ultrasound, Fundus Camera, Thermal Camera, Bio-Radar)
to investigate the characteristics and functions of the brain and/or improve the central nervous system. Through
the developed software tools, we hope it can assist researcher, medical practitioner and physician to shorten
the time diagnose and analyses the data.
Intelligent Treatment management (ITMS) for Depression Tools
An electroencephalography (EEG)-based system called Intelligent Treatment management (ITMS), has been developed
and tested at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) to assist physician (psychiatry) for quick diagnosis
of depression.
QEEG software - NeuroEEG Scope
A highly efficient software-based system, the NeuroEEG Scope, has been developed to help researchers during analyzing
electroencephalographic (EEG) data involving the EEG feature extraction (time, frequency and time/frequency features).
This software tools can help the neuroscientists and clinicians in Malaysia to study the brain electrical activity in
response to visual stimuli. The software tools can be used both for research and clinical purposes.
Brain-Navi: Neuronal Network Analysis Tool for MEG
The network of neurons in the brain are connected in such a way that different cortical regions synchronize in order
to perform any particular task. Brain Navi tool estimates those functional connections using information from
cutting edge using Magnetoencephalography (MEG) technology and generates circular correlation plots which are
fashioned to meet the most modern developments. This tool is highly useful to analyze and visualize the default
brain behavior at rest and while performing any task. The resultant graphical values can be used as a model to
detect and monitor neuronal dysfunction, especially useful while treatment.
The RETINO-Diabetic Retinopathy Monitoring and Grading System
The RETINO-Diabetic Retinopathy Monitoring and Grading System is an automated computerized DR grading system that
has been developed to screen patients in Hospital Selayang, Kuala Lumpur. Currently the system is using Android
platform based on ARM processor for portable devices such as tablet and smartphone. This will enable the system
to be widely used in medical practice.
