Networking in Japan Assalammualaikum w.r.t. Dear Prof/Ir/AP/Dr/Ladies & Gentleman, Prof Dr Masaharu Komiyamafrom Centre of Biofuel and Biochemical Research (CBBR) has actively collaboratedwith Japan counterpart in research for the benefit of the centre as well UTP. He has been appointed as Visiting Professorship withUniversity Yamanashiunder Clean Energy Research Center where they also hosting UTP Chemical Engineering Department student internship this semester. Prof Dr Masaharu Komiyama also applying bilateral JAICA program “Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS)” with Prof. Junji Inukai. SATREPS is a Japanese government program that promotes international joint research. On another note, through his collaboration with Sojo University, UTP will be holding Annual Sojo-UTP Seminar on 26th – 27th August 2019 in Japan this year. Sojo University also applied to JST Sakura Science Program to invite 8 of Chemical Engineering Department PG students for short visit to Japan this August. Last but not least, one student from Hiroshima University will be attached to CBBR this year for research supervision. Throughout this partnership with Japan Universities, it has slowly open up new collaboration that we are expecting from Japan, a world renowned country of developing technology. We are very proud with the achievements by our researcher, Prof Dr Masaharu Komiyama.
