CoSI organised a Webinar between UTP – UMK Joint Talk & Forum collaboration with KPMG UTP Ambassador on the topic of Nation Capacity Building: Skills, Competencies, Income Generation on 12 June 2021. This joint talk is part of the UTP-UMK Matching Grant endeavor. This event divided into two sessions: (1) Morning Forum – Technical Skills Vs Soft Skills; (2) Afternoon Forum – Permanent Jobs Vs Freelancing. The event was graced by Yang Berbahagia Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Anuwar Ali, Chancellor of University of Cyberjaya as a Keynote Speaker, Mr. Sunil Hasmukharay, Founder & Chief Strategist, HC Consultants Group, Guest Speaker, Mr. Anil SK Nair, Consultant, KPMG Malaysia, speakers and panelist from UTP & UMK.

The objective of this event is (1) To engage community on awareness on nation building, competencies, and income in this era of Covid-19 pandemic. (2) To create platforms of engagement with employers on preparedness in competencies, skills to meet job market requirement. (3) To create awareness on the high demand set of skills needed to overcome the 4th Industrial Revolution challenge. In working towards a betterment of national capacity building.
