Improving Grades
Improving academic grades can be one of the goals during university years as the ability to continuously progress is intrinsic to humans. This goal also lends a hand in practicing a personal quality known as "Growth Mindset".
Academic grades - In formal education, grades have become the predominant indicator of students' academic performance. The spotlight and emphasis on grades has made it a general measure of personal growth amongst peers, lecturers-students and parents-children. The following questions may be common conversations:
"What's your CGPA for this semester?'
"This subject is easy, why is it hard for you to get an A for this subject?"
"You failed again?"
High (C)GPA equals academic success? - (C)GPA is a mark on academic achievement not success where it means personal cognitive ability. Academic Success is inclusive of academic achievement, attainment of learning objectives, acquisition of desired skills and competencies, satisfaction, persistence, and post-college performance. From the image below, it is observable that Grades and (C)GPA are only small criteria when it comes to academic success.
