Cegal AS, a leading provider of hybrid cloud solutions, software and consultancy to the oil and gas industry, has donated academic licenses for its software worth USD5.46 million (RM22.9 million) to Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP).
This donation provides UTP students with the necessary proficiency and skills, and at the same time, allow them to have the competitive advantage when entering the workforce upon graduation. These licenses are used by students and faculty within the Faculty of Science & Information Technology.
The software consists of the Blueback Toolbox (Geology & Geophysics), Blueback Rocks Velocity, Blueback Rocks QI and Bridge Electromagnetics (Core and Integrator) modules.
