The Election Commission has officially announced Yap Wei Cheng from Students' Progressive Party as the winning president at 6.30pm yesterday.
This year's election also marked an increase from last year for voter turnout at 68.8% (3667).
We would also like to share that the Virtual Campus Election 2021 was fully organised, coordinated and managed by the Election Secretariat consisting of 25 students.
We would like to record our deepest appreciation to the management committee for their support as well as Deans, Department Chairs, Academic Lecturers, party advisors, supporters, and avid followers of the campus election for their dedication towards the development of our student leaders. Special mention goes to the ITMS team for developing the online voting app (powerapps) that was smooth and efficient, allowing students to exercise their rights to vote from all over the nation. We thank our collaborators from Registry and CCD for their support and commitment in ensuring an engaging, exciting, and memorable virtual campus election.
We would also like to congratulate the TOP 3 Department with highest number of voter turnout!
Centre for Foundation Studies - 92.11%
Management & Humanities Department - 80.49%
