UTP and Riam Institute of Technology (RIAMTEC) Sarawak have signed an MoU to strengthen both institutions academic and student affairs activities. Present at the virtual document exchange ceremony were UTP Vice Chancellor Professor Ts. Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib and RIAMTEC Chief Executive Officer Associate Professor Dr Pauline Ho. Also present were UTP Chief Strategy Officer, En Zaimizi Hamdani@Hj Othman and RIAMTEC Dean, Mr Chua Min Fui.
With this partnership, RIAMTEC graduates will have the opportunities to further their studies for UTP undergraduate programmes, namely Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering with Honours and Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours, through credit transfer.
UTP and RIAMTEC will also cooperate in terms of sharing of knowledge and expertise through staff and student development programmes, as well as staff and student experiential and online activities.
UTP hopes that this with collaboration it will also pave the way to attract more prospective East Malaysian students to study in UTP.
