Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) and Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Perak Branch have signed an MoU to collaborate for opportunities on professional interchanges in academic seminars, training, and learning, consultancy, research, industrial attachment, industrial study visits, joint projects, and other activities.
Such partnership will benefit both parties. For UTP staff and students, they will experience and be exposed to the latest industrial-driven technical skills for occupational competencies. As for FMM, the collaboration will provide opportunities for Perak manufacturers and their workforces to upgrade their industry knowledge, abilities, and skills that are required to compete globally.
Present at the MoU document exchange ceremony were UTP Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, Prof Ir Dr Hilmi Mukhtar who represented the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ts. Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib and FMM Perak Branch Chairman, En Tan Seow Heng.
Others who were present at the ceremony were FMM Perak Branch Vice Chairmen, En. Mark Chan Chow Loong and En. Mok Tuck Meng, UTP Chief Strategy Officer, En Zaimizi Hamdani@Hj Othman, as well as delegates from FMM Perak Branch and UTP.
