The programme was part of both institutions’ efforts to help the state of Perak achieves the 40% of vaccination rate, a threshold requirement to move into the third phase of the National Recovery Plan.

780 UTP’s communities consisted of its staff, cleaners and in-house contractors received their second dose of vaccination on 21 August 2021. The first dose of vaccination was carried out on 31 July 2021.

“Our Chancellor Hall is no stranger when organising major events such as convocations, public lectures as well as international and national level of competitions. This time around, we are delighted and proud that this Hall is utilised for a greater cause, namely for the benefit of our community in ensuring that they are protected against Covid-19,” UTP Vice Chancellor, Professor Ts. Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib said.
