Prof Gulzada Shakulikova, Chairman of the Board-Rector, Atyrau Oil and Gas University (AOGU) named after S.Utebayev, Kazakhstan was received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Ts. Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib on 19 and 20 April 2022 at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP).
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AOGU and UTP was signed on 15 February 2021 and the areas of collaboration that were stated in the MoU include staff and student exchange, academic collaboration and research collaboration. These areas will be used as a means for implementing the initiatives to assist AOGU in strengthening their academic and continuous education programme.
The objective of the visit to UTP is to witness the state-of-the-art facilities available for students, not only for academic, but for the overall campus experience, ranging from classrooms, labs to sports and recreational facilities.
Prof Gulzada Shakulikova was accompanied by Prof Murat Syzdykov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations. Also present were Prof Ir Dr Hilmi Mukhtar, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic, Mr Andrew Bernard Shanta, Chief Financial Officer, Encik Zaimizi Hamdani, Chief Strategy Officer, Puan Shamsina Shaharun, Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Puan Fairus Neeza M Fauzie, Director Financial Planning, Performance, Risks and Governance.
