The sponsorship arrangement further solidifies the commitment of both UTP and PTDF towards empowering Nigerian students through quality education and advanced training.  Currently, UTP hosts a total of 75 Nigerian students, with 32 of them benefiting from the PTDF sponsorship arrangement.  Among these students, 19 are pursuing PhDs, 12 are enrolled in Master’s programmes, and one is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.

Through this collaboration, UTP and PTDF aim to create a conducive environment for Nigerian students to excel academically and contribute to the growth of the petroleum industry in Nigeria.

This collaboration is aligned with UTP’s mission to produce competent and skilled human capital for the oil and gas industry, particularly in the field of petroleum engineering, geoscience, and related areas of study.
