UTP, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) of the Philippines and eight Philippines higher education institutions signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today, marking a significant step forward in strengthening educational cooperation between the two nations.
The MoU signifies a shared commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and international cooperation in higher education.
It paves the way for the establishment of a consortium involving UTP, CHED, and several esteemed Philippine universities, including Palawan State University, Batangas State University, University of Southeastern Philippines, Technological University of the Philippines, Guimaras State University, Kalinga State University, Western Philippines University, and Occidental Mindoro State College.
The consortium will provide a platform for UTP and its Philippine partners to collaborate on various initiatives, including joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programmes, curriculum development as well as workshops and conferences.
The signing of the MoU signifies a continuous, strong, and sustainable partnership with the Philippines. Both parties are committed to working together to drive innovation in research and development, develop a more skilled and competitive workforce in both countries and foster cultural exchange and understanding.
