Dr László Borhy, President of Hungarian Rectors' Conference and Rector of Eötvös Loránd University was received by the Encik Mohd Fadil Mohd Ariff , Registrar on 13 February 2025 at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP).

The objectives of the visit are to explore various potential strategic collaborations including student recruitment, student mobility and exchange programmes, internship opportunities and research projects and also to have a closer look at the campus and its facilities.

Dr. László Borhy was accompanied by Hungarian Universities' Rectors and Representatives from University of Sopron, University of Dunaújváros, Budapest Metropolitan University, Hungarian University of Fine Arts, Széchenyi István University and representatives from Embassy of Hungary in Kuala Lumpur.

Also present to receive the delegation were Professor Dr Tang Tong Boon, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Associate Professor Ts. Dr Noor Amila Wan Zawawi, Senior Director of Technology Research Excellence, Encik Saravanan Muthiah, Senior Director of Centre for Student Experience and other UTP management personnel.
