Duit raya donations were also given to 20 asnaf recipients from several areas, including Tronoh, Kampung Bali, Taman Maju, and Bandar Seri Iskandar.

The donations were contributed by university staff, alumni, various organisations, and members of the public.

Yayasan PETRONAS also sponsored food packs containing essential items for orphans from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan Warga Miskin Bait Al-Amin and Persatuan Kebajikan Anak Yatim dan Miskin Al-Munirah.

Meanwhile, UTP Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib said that UTP has always been concerned about the welfare of the Seri Iskandar community by providing various forms of assistance to those in need, especially during the festive season.

“We are very thankful to all UTP staff for their contributions, including members of the An-Nur Mosque Committee," he said during the UTP Iftar and Aidilfitri 2025 and PETRONITA We Care We Share Programme at the An-Nur Mosque here.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Ibrahim said that UTP organised an Iftar ceremony every year, attended not only by its staff but also by the local community.

“We are honoured to organise this event with the same objective of embracing the spirit of Ramadan with the UTP community and sharing it with the local community,” he said.
