We are pleased to announce the appointment of its Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib as Hainan University (HU)'s International Advisory Board (IAB) member.
The IAB has an advisory role to the Management of HU on innovation in scientific research, entrepreneurship, talent development, social service and cultural heritage.
The members of the Board are internationally respected academics and researchers with broad international experience; they represent a variety of research areas and fields of education as well as a variety of global regions.
The Board, who is chaired by Professor Dr Feng Da Hsuan, had its first meeting on March 30 and 31 in Haikou Hainan China.
During his visit to HU, Professor Mohamed Ibrahim also had the opportunity to deliver a presentation on UTP and "Building Strategic Collaboration Between University and Industry".
Hainan University is a research-intensive university and China's southernmost member of the national 211 project.
It is financially supported by both Ministry of Education and Hainan Provincial Government and is the only comprehensive and key university of Hainan Province.
The university runs three campuses, namely Haidian, Chengxi, and Danzhou. Its main campus is located on Haidian Island of Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Province.
