Prof Dr Michael A. Celia graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He went on to earn a Master of Science, Master of Arts, and PhD in Civil Engineering from Princeton University.
He began his faculty career as an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at MIT. He later returned to Princeton to join the Civil Engineering faculty.
Prof Dr Michael A. Celia is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering and is recognised as one of the world's leading researchers in the fields of numerical methods and flow in porous media.
Currently, Professor Dr. Michael A. Celia is the Theodora Shelton Pitney Professor of Environmental Studies and Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Princeton University, where he has previously served as Department Chair in CEE as well as Director of the High Meadows Environmental Institute.
