​Pusat Inovasi & Komuniti Desa Layang – Layang Kanan

UTP has taken an initiative to set up a centre that enhances the potential and quality of life of the local community. The centre, known as Pusat Komuniti & Inovasi Desa Layang – Layang Kanan, launched on 25 February 2019. In year 1960s, it was a school and later was transformed to a training centre – Pusat Giat MARA.

The community centre has been developed with the support from UTP crowdsourcing partners and from the sale of Perak Sultanate: The Historic Royal Glory of Perak Tengah, co-written by UTP lecturer, Associate Professor Dr Shahrina Md Nordin and YBhg Datuk Seri Jalil Abdul Hamid, Chief Executive Officer, NSTP.

The amount received for phase 1 is RM68,500 and phase 2 is RM69,000.
