Tapestry of Colours 2017
This concert was organised by Yayasan UTP (YUTP), UTP and Alumni UTP at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP) on 29th July 2017. Over 200 multinational students sang, danced and performed their hearts out to help raise funds for Yayasan UTP. Dayang Nurfaezah was the special guest artiste of the night.
A mock cheque presentation from sponsors was also held, and the sponsors included OPITO Asia Pacific, Dialog Group, Uzma Engineering, TechnipFMC Asia Pacific, Wu Music House, Cubiks Malaysia, CIMB, and Maybank. In total, the foundation received more than RM197k.

YUTP Charity Golf 2017
Yayasan UTP Charity Golf 2017 was organised on 23rd September 2017 at Glenmarie Golf & Country Club in Shah Alam and this tournament has attracted 80 golfers from the oil and gas industry. This fundraising effort is to increase the Yayasan UTP Student Support Fund (YUTP Bursary).
Industry players such as Uzma Engineering, Fluor Daniel International, Bank of American Merril Lynch, Damai Urusniaga, Soulfly Engineering and Satcom Sales & Services Sdn Bhd were among the sponsors of the event. The contributions to YUTP Bursary fund will enable us to award financial assistance to deserving students of the university. In total, the foundation received more than RM208k.

UTP Convo Ride 2017
On 8th October 2017, UTP Convo Ride was organized in which 361 school kits were donated to underprivileged school children from 20 schools from UTP surrounding areas while a cycling event was also held simultaneously. The event was held in conjunction with UTP's 17th convocation ceremony and 20th Anniversary Celebration.
For this particular CSR programme, UTP received sponsorships and donations of more than RM54, 200 and a portion of the donations will be channeled to Yayasan UTP bursary fund to provide financial aid for UTP students.
The school supplies were sponsored mainly by UTP and PETRONAS staff as well as other individuals and organisations at RM 150 each.

Convo CSR 2017
The ConvoCSR is held in conjunction with UTP 17th Convocation as a platform to attract donations from personal to corporate contributions, to ease the difficulties of needy families from UTP surrounding community. The event has encouraged companies to participate in CSR activities, not only to provide donations to the disadvantaged, but also to create educational opportunities for the next generation to pursue knowledge by contributing to YUTP.
YUTP raised RM36,650 throughout this event with Stagno, Aseptec, Edaran IT, Ana Synergy, Dixson FA Engineering, Advance Altimas and Grand Teknik Bina as the sponsors to the event.

UTP Peacock Bass Master Challenge 2017
This is an annual fishing event to promote healthy lifestyle among participants in conjunction with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) Convocation Festival. It also serves as a platform to attract donations, ranging from personal to corporate contributions, in effort to keep our ecosystem in good condition as natural as it is. Yayasan UTP raised RM500 throughout this event with Araz Architect as the main sponsors to the event.

Convo Fest 2017
UTP and its Students' Representative Council also organized Convo Fest at its campus in Bandar Seri Iskandar from 13 to 15 October 2017, featuring various interesting activities that include cultural and art performances, futsal, water games, exhibitions and concert by Malaysian celebrities. Yayasan UTP raised in-kind sponsor worth of RM3,500 throughout this event via Aidijuma, PETRONAS Lubricant Malaysia Marketing and PETRONAS Dagangan Bhd.

Transwater Tenaga Sdn Bhd
UTP has received a contribution from Transwater Tenaga Sdn Bhd for Catalyst Research & Development For Gas Condensate Mini Refinery. The total contribution is RM197,200 with RM96,300 disbursed in 2017.

Convo Dinner 2017
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in collaboration with Yayasan Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (YUTP) organised the 17th Convocation Dinner at UTP Main Hall, Tronoh on 14th October 2017 at 8.00 pm. The dinner was held a night before the graduation day to commemorate the success of UTP students who would be graduating in 2017.
This memorable event was jointly organized with UTP Alumni Association, featuring performances by UTP talented students. The dinner was graced by UTP Vice Chancellor, YABhg Datuk Rahim in the presence of PETRONAS Chairman, PETRONAS President, UTP Board Members, PETRONAS Executive Vice Presidents and their spouses, together with other invited guests.
Additionally, this event serves as a platform for the graduating students to engage with their potential employers. Yayasan UTP raised RM20,770 throughout this event with Celcom, UTP Alumni Association, Fotograduate, Petronas Dagangan Berhad and Aidijuma as the sponsors to the event.
