TAZU received Zakat Wakalah contribution RM1,000,000 from Dana Asy-Syakirin 2, PETRONAS
Since our world has been hit with a prolonged pandemic, there are those who have been affected, including UTP’s very own students. Many have also stepped up to provide assistance to our students to lighten their burden.
Tabung Amanah Zakat UTP (TAZU) recently received a contribution in the form of Zakat Wakalah amounting to RM1,000,000 from Dana Asy-Syakirin 2 (DAS2) during a small but significant ceremony on the 17th December 2021.
The Zakat Wakalah contribution was presented by the DAS2 Chairperson herself, Puan Farehana Hanapiah, Senior Vice President for Group of Human Resource Management (GHRM), PETRONAS to JTAZU’s advisor, Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib, Vice Chancellor of UTP.
This contribution will go a long way in helping the underprivileged students (Asnaf) at UTP in FY2022 in terms of 100 units of laptops amounting to RM400,000 while the remaining RM600,000 will be distributed as the financial assistance for tuition fees, hostel fees, and pocket money.
