BigPipes.app™ is a cloud-based software developed based on probabilistic methods for the current assessment of pipelines subjected to corrosion and for future corrosion prediction. The features include:

  • Cloud-based probabilistic analytics built specifically for inspection pig data.
  • Full spectrum of pipeline reliability assessment
  • Data vault for inspection pig data enables automatic aggregation of historical data for analysis

  • Significant cost factor:
    • ​Corrosion management in the pipeline constitutes over 50% of operational expenses.
  • Precision in performance:
    • ​To avoid unnecessary pipeline repairs and replacements, precise performance assessments and accurate future predictions for ageing pipelines are crucial.
  • Big data solutions:
    • ​The industry demands cutting-edge big data management and storage solutions to handle historical corrosion and inspection data efficiently, ensuring long-term pipeline integrity and performance.

USEFULNESS & APPLICATION

  • Utilized established design codes/standards such as ASME, Shell, DNV etc. and later translated the equations into probabilistic nature
  • Design data and operational data of the corroded pipeline were included into the system in the form of random variables
  • Limit state function equations were developed to compute the probability of failure (PoF) of the corroded pipelines
  • Mechanistic models for corrosion prediction using established model.
  • Time-variant probabilistic for corrosion prediction

  1. Oil and Gas Sector
  • The primary target users for pipeline integrity software and corrosion monitoring services in the Middle East would be oil and gas companies, including major operators, exploration and production companies, and pipeline owners. These entities are responsible for the maintenance and operation of extensive pipeline networks for hydrocarbon transportation.
2.    Industry Verticals
  • The target industries include oil and gas exploration, production, refining, and distribution, as well as petrochemical plants, refineries, and industrial facilities with extensive pipeline infrastructure for the transportation of oil, gas, and related products.
