​​About competition

INNOSIM is a national-level process simulation competition organized by Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), co-organized with the Department of Chemical Engineering at UTP. The competition is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students from all private and public institutions in Malaysia. The theme for this competition is "Greening the Petrochemical Industry: Innovating Sustainable Processes for a Better Future," and it aims to nurture the innovation and creativity of future chemical engineers in creating a sustainable future, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.

OBJECTIVES​

• To cultivate innovation and creativity skills among chemical engineering students. 
• To enhance students’ awareness and problem-solving skills in solving the provided case study through practical simulation approaches. 
• To provide an opportunity for chemical engineering students to sharpen their simulation skills.​

 The competition is eligible for all active Chemical Engineering students at Undergraduate (Diploma, Degree) as well as the Postgraduate students ​

​Category

 The competition is open to:
• Undergraduate Category (Each team should have 3-5 members)
• Postgraduate Category (individual) # There is no limit on the number of teams/individuals from each university.

Fee

  RM 300 (For both category)
