1. INTRODUCTION TO OIL & GAS INDUSTRY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
(3 ECTS, compulsory, REVISED course)
Elucidation of the various steps of the petroleum industry life cycle comprising discovery, production, processing and transportation. Newly added content: augmentation on the aspect of sustainability with description of various types of footprints with the role of engineers in industry.

2. PHYSICAL GEOLOGY
(4 ECTS, compulsory, REVISED course)
Exposition of the formation of the earth, its place in the solar system and its interior structure. Topics covered: The earth & universe, plate tectonics, geomorphology, rock cycle, hydrologic cycle, structural geology, time and geology, geohazards, and earth energy and resources. Newly added content: Formation of marine, coastal and delta environment formations and its significant to human life.

3. OCEAN AND COASTAL ENGINEERING
(4 ECTS, elective, REVISED course)
Introduction to ocean and coastal engineering, wave generation and transformation. Evaluation of the properties of offshore and near shore waves, and establish design wave specifications, assess currents and tidal processes, formulate sediment budget and perform shoreline evolution analysis.

4. COASTAL PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
(4 ECTS, elective, REVISED course)
Introduction to ocean and coastal engineering, wave generation, wave transformation, statistical properties and spectra of sea waves, tides and currents, coastal sediment transports, and coastal morphology. Newly added content: coastal stabilization schemes

5. PIPELINES AND RISERS
(5 ECTS, elective, REVISED course)
Introduction to subsea field components, carbon manganese steel pipeline, pipeline route selection, pipeline installation method, pipeline design, pipeline innovation and technology, risers.

6. DEEPWATER MANAGEMENT
