Our Policy
UTP Records Management and Preservation Guidelines establish as a framework for effective records management at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. This Guidelines provides advice to UTP community on the creation and use of University records, and set standards for classifying, managing and storing those records.
A good record keeping program is fundamental to the university’s commitment to administrative transparency and accountability. It enables the university to account for decisions and actions by providing essential evidence in the form of records and ensures the preservation of the collective memory of the university.
The university is concerned with all aspects of its record keeping independent of the technological medium. This Guideline seeks to ensure that the university’s business is adequately documented through the creation of records that are then managed in accordance with the best practice.
