​Champion of Masiswa Games (10-12 Dec 2010)

For three consecutive years, UTP emerged as the overall champiaon in the Private Higher Education Institution Sports Carnival (MASISWA) 2010 – Northern Region held on the 10th - 12th December 2010 at Malaysian Spanish Institute (MSI), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) in Kulim, Kedah.

In the recently concluded games which offered 7 events (V/Ball – M & F, Futsal – M & F, Netball, Badminton, Table-Tennis) involving 9 private institutions of higher learning from the Northern Region, UTP secured 2 Gold Medals (Netball & Futsal - Male) and 2 Bronze medals (Volleyball - Male & Female).
 

UTP contingent consisted of 48 UTP students including 6 international students and 9 staff who participated in 5 of the 7 events namely Futsal-Male, Netball, Volleyball Male & Female and Badminton. During the competition, our athletes had shown high level of sportsmanship and commitment even though they only managed to undergo a short period of training as the competition was held just one week after the final examinations.
