Muhibbah – UTP Prestigious Scholarships Programme in Cambodia (19 November 2011)
On 19th November 2011, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) marked another significant smart partnership with one of the best construction engineering companies in Malaysia, Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd (MEB). MEB has awarded ‘Muhibbah-UTP Prestigious Scholarship’ to two students to further their studies in UTP. The event took place at the head office of Muhibbah Engineering (Cambodia) in Mondial Centre, Phnom Penh.
The scholarship recipients will pursue their studies in Civil Engineering and Petroleum Engineering programmes. Furthermore, Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd. had agreed to provide two scholarships per year to Cambodian students to study at UTP for the next five years.
The scholarship was presented by the Executive Director of Muhibbah Engineering (Cambodia) Co. Ltd, Oknha Khieng Hann. The event was highlighted by the local media and was given wide publicity by the local TV stations and newspapers. The scholarship awarded to these students is the contribution from Muhibbah Group and UTP to the people of Cambodia towards enhancing their human resource capabilities through education.
