UTP Emerged as Champion in the International OSS Creative Multimedia Development Competition 2011 ( 29 - 30 November 2011)
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) was announced as CHAMPION in the International OSS Creative Multimedia Development Competition 2011 which was held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). The team managed to bag home a total cash of RM 30,000.
A video montage with the theme “Make Everything Happen” produced by a group of UTP students had been submitted to the 2011 International Open Source Society (OSS) Creative Multimedia Development Competition (http://mygosscon.oscc.org.my/2011/multimedia-competition-2011) held in conjunction with the Malaysia Chief Information Officer (CIO) & Malaysian Government Open Source Conferences 2011.
This competition is free and open to all students aged 18 years and above in any institution of higher education worldwide. The competition was organised by the Malaysian Administrative Modernization & Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) in collaboration with the Open Source Competency Centre (OSCC).
The final round of the competition involving 7 short-listed teams was held from 29-30 November 2011.
