UTP Strengthens Connection with India

Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) recently signed memoranda of understandings with Indian institutions to promote mutual research and academic collaboration in various fields.
The signing marks UTP's commitment to expand collaboration with Indian counterparts in the areas of academic expertise and students exchange, curriculum design, research projects cooperation and internship opportunities.
MoU document exchange between UTP and BMS College of Engineering witnessed by Dato' Hidayat Abdul Hamid and Tan Sri Wan Zul
On 19 November, UTP signed MoUs with BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) Bangalore and Central Institute of Technology (CIT) Kokrajhar. UTP was represented by its Vice Chancellor Professor Ts. Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib, BMSCE was represented by its Vice Principal Dr Ravishankar Deekshit while CIT was represented by its Director Professor Debkumar Chakrabarti.

Both signing ceremonies were witnessed by Malaysian High Commissioner to India His Excellency YBhg Dato' Hidayat Abdul Hamid and Tan Sri Wan Zul.
On the same day, another MoU was signed between UTP and Amity University Noida campus. Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation President Dr W Selvamurthy signed the MoU on behalf of Amity University.
UTP also visited Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Chennai campus the following day to sign an MoU with the institution. VIT was represented by its Vice President G.V. Selvam.
During the signing of the MoUs, Dr Mohamed Ibrahim was accompanied by a delegation from UTP namely Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Professor Dr Hilmi Mukhtar, Strategic Alliance Office Director Zaimizi Hamdani and Institute of Autonomous Systems Director Associate Professor Dr Vijanth Sagayan Asirvadam.
