Centre for Intelligent Signal and Imaging Research
The Centre for Intelligent Signal & Imaging Research (CISIR) under the Institute of Health & Analytics (IHA),
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), is dedicated to undertaking translational research in the areas of brain
pathways and mental states under niche area Neurotechnology for Brain Assessment and Intervention. CISIR provides
a platform to study brain-related issues and associated problems from the medical professional and societal perspectives.
CISIR research staff develop advanced signal processing techniques and utilise various neuroimaging modalities
(e.g., EEG, fNIRs, ECG, EMG, fMRI, PPG, LFSG, Ultrasound, Fundus Camera, Thermal Camera, Bio-Radar) to investigate
the characteristics and functions of the brain and/or improve the central nervous system. We are also committed to
conducting research, disseminating findings, promoting and enhancing R&D cultures through collaborative research
with local and overseas research institutions, hospitals and industry.
Our ultimate goal is to materialise the research outcomes and bring solutions that can assist to improve people's
quality of life.
