INTRODUCTION TO ITI
The Institute of Transport Infrastructure or ITI looks at transport in the most general sense as the transport of human and commodities through roads, railways, airways and waterways. In Asia and Pacific, the speed and scope of urbanisation is unprecedented.
The region's cities will add another one billion people by 2040 which will contribute to a number of development challenges. ITI with its smart mobility concept integrate the 3 main elements seamlessly (infrastructure, vehicle and operations) resulting in on-demand personal and materials mobility systems that increase productivity, safety and security while reducing congestion, pollution and operating cost.
The institute consists of three (3) research clusters and has 50 over researchers and postgraduate students to achieve its vision and mission. ITI focuses in the area of autonomous and electric mobility, ocean resources and transportation, tunnel and underground space, asset and maintenance utilisation as well as IoT technology.
The Institute explores various smart mobility solutions for transportation in urban, sub-urban and agriculture settings to provide efficient access, service and facilities. ITI has conducted various research and consultancy project including the Community Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. ITI is here to serve you with smart mobility solutions!
