Dear Prof/Ir/AP/Dr/Ladies & Gentleman,

 On 16^th – 18^th January 2019, Prof Dr Yoshimitsu Uemura from Centre of Biofuel and Biochemical Research (CBBR) has attended 14^th Conference on Biomass Science (CBS). It’s a conference of an annual meeting for sharing and discussing recent fundamental research and development among university, company and governmental researchers. It was organize by the Biomass Division of the Japan Institute of Energy. Prof Dr Yoshimitsu Uemura attended the conference to share and update the most updated biomass research information, to discussed and confirmed some outstanding issues with Japanese biomass researchers. He’s also a working committee of the conference as well.

During the conference, Prof Dr Yoshimitsu Uemura has managed to secure potential collaboration that will be benefited to CBBR team which are;

1. Inbound a graduate student from Hiroshima University that will be hosted by Dr Lam Man Kee
2. International Grant Application collaboration with Dr. Komata of a governmental biomass researcher in Hokkaido Region
