Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Innovation Accelerator (UToPIA) is an accelerator program to support high-potential startups in UTP. Officially
launched on 16 September 2022 by YBhg Tan Sri (Dr) Mohd Hassan Marican, Chancellor of UTP.
UToPIA aims to increase the exploitation of
UTP's and PETRONAS's intellectual property (IP) and to accelerate the technology commercialisation.
Objectives

Increase take-up rate of UTP's intellectual property exploitation and commercialisation.

Creation of new intellectual property through problem-solving and integrated solutions offerings using existing intellectual property.

Produce successful innovation techno-based enterprise ad entrepreneurs.

Job creation through new employment and opportunities

Contribute to local and national economic development via the creation of new innovative industries.
