It takes the wave energy and suppresses it by its own rather than redirecting it to seaward as this will result in wave amplification and may endanger small floating vessels. This design has won some international awards.

| Siloxane Modified Based Intumescent Fire-Retardant Coating in Structural Safety (NeToxIC)
| Present invention provides a mineral based fire-retardant coating composition, a method of forming the coating. Oyster shell powder and glass frit had been targeted to become a filler to be added into epoxy resin. Glass frit containing a high amount of silica will form char during combustion. The formation of char will act as a barrier to prevent heat from reaching the coated material. This project aims to produce an intumescent fire-retarding coating material to impart flame resistance performance by considering the cost-effective, low-toxicity and environmentally friendly factors.
