In the world of academia, there are few things more exciting than the opportunity to pursue doctoral studies abroad. For Nurul Neesa, a postgraduate student at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in Malaysia, this dream has become a reality. She is currently attending a 1-year physical research program in Cotutelle (Dual-Degree) at Deakin University (DU) in Melbourne, Australia.

Nurul Neesa is no stranger to the rigors of academic research. She is pursuing her doctoral studies at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at UTP and the School of Engineering, Built and Environment at DU. Under the watchful eyes of her supervisors, which include Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr Zahiraniza Mustaffa and Dr. Husna Takaijuddin from UTP, as well as Assoc. Prof. Lloyd Chua and Dr. Subrat Das from DU, Nurul Neesa is honing her research skills and expanding her knowledge in her field.

To make her time at DU possible, Nurul Neesa has been granted a full scholarship - Cotutelle Scholarship for the year. This generous funding will allow her to focus solely on her research without worrying about the financial burdens that often accompany doctoral studies.

UTP and Deakin University recognize the importance of joint supervision and exchange of research students. This programme provides a unique opportunity for international research networks to be enhanced and for the advancement of scholarship and the generation of knowledge. By giving Nurul Neesa the chance to study at DU, UTP and Deakin University are helping to foster a global community of researchers and scholars who are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of knowledge in their respective fields.

UTP wishes Nurul Neesa all the best for her research studies, and we eagerly await the insights and discoveries she will uncover during her time at DU.
