Realising education as the key driver towards a sustainable future, we took proactive action by incorporating courses that addresses sustainability issues in its curriculum. Throughout their learning journey in UTP, students acquire knowledge in the implementation of sustainable best practices. As part of the Program Educational Objectives (PEO), this is in line with the vision and mission of the university; producing well-rounded graduates that expand the frontiers of technology and education for the betterment of society.
The concept of sustainable development starts during the 1st year of study in UTP regardless of their chosen academic program through a compulsory subject of “Introduction to Oil & Gas Industry and Sustainable Development”, where students are introduced to the concept of sustainable development, energy security, net-zero carbon emission and renewable energy.
