Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) and Gambia National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance scientific, technical, management and engineering competencies as well as develop beneficial programmes for both parties. 

The MoU will emphasise collaborations in several fields including joint organisation of seminars, conferences and public lectures, provision of training services and related educational activities in addition to conducting and delivering short courses.

The agreement was signed by UTP Vice Chancellor Professor Ts Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib and GNPC Deputy Managing Director Isatou Auber Faal, while the witnesses were

UTP Chief Strategy Officer Ir Dr Aidid Chee Tahir and GNPC Head Legal Affairs Sarjo Sama.

 

The event was also attended by GNPC Board Vice Chairman Bakary Jammeh, delegates from GNPC, delegates from Gambia Ministry of Petroleum & Energy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gambia as well as PETRONAS Africa Ventures and Stakeholder Strategy, Exploration.
