UTP Alumni won the Asia Top 10 Young Talents Awards (MonStar Awards)
On 20 November 2021

The 4th MonStar Awards Finale was held on November 20, 2021 (Sat) at TGV, KLCC where the Top 10 Young Talents emerged from a pool of 900 young talents nominations from 20 nations across Asia. Since 2018, MonStar Awards has discovered and recognised young talents whose work, story, or talent(s) influence, innovate and inspire others and their community. 


The MonStar Awards Finale showcased the announcement of the award winners, sharing session by the juries, and special performances. The awards was attended by the nominees and was also live streamed via its Facebook page and reached out to 150,000 young people from 20 campuses & communities in Asia. The award winners were selected after 3 months of stringent consideration by high-profile juries, namely Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Founder and Group CEO of AirAsia, Marc Woo, Managing Director of Google Malaysia, Kristina Mand-Lakhiani of Mindvalley, Datuk Yasmin Mahmood, Chairman of Skymind Holding and Freda Liu, Lead producer and presenter of BFM 89.9.

Chan Zhi Ee, Founder and CEO of Monsta Asia said, “As the pandemic has prompted a shift towards new ways of work and interaction, we seized the opportunity to grow across our national boundaries. We now want to celebrate and showcase young talents in Asia who go beyond the ordinary to shine in their own way!”


In attendance was Datuk Nicol David, who is also on the Board of Directors of Monsta Asia.

"Youth have so much potential and a huge desire to make Malaysia better. I hope this awards ceremony acknowledges them and continues to empower them for their future."
