The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a professional association for Electrical & Electronic Engineering (and associated disciplines) with its corporate office in New York City, USA and expanded over in ten different regions of this globe. IEEE Malaysia Section comes under Region 10 along with other Asian countries i.e. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh etc. The main objectives of this society are the educational and technical advancement of electrical and electronic engineering, telecommunications, computer engineering and similar disciplines.
Every year IEEE Malaysia Section holds an annual general meeting where they honour the contributions added by every IEEE Volunteers. This time Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place at KLCC Convention Center Kuala Lumpur on 12 February 2022 where Mr. Ghulam E Mustafa Abro, PhD student at EEE Department of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, has been awarded with the IEEE Malaysia Best Outstanding Student Volunteer Award - 2nd Runner Up by AP.
