Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS today organised its Hari Raya Aidilfitri gathering attended by about 600 guests which included staff, state government officials and media practitioners. It was held at the university’s Main Hall in two sessions, from 4pm to 5.00pm and from 5.00pm to 6.30pm.
The event was held to promote a spirit of camaraderie among staff and strengthen ties with the state government agencies and authorities as well as media practitioners.
On hand to personally greet the guests were UTP Vice Chancellor Professor Ts. Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib and UTP Management Committee members.
Guests were dressed up in their colourful Raya outfits. They were served with a wide range of delicacies such as lemang, rendang and satay. While enjoying their food, the guests were entertained with performances by UTP students.
To bring out the Raya mood, the Main Hall was adorned with decorations of distinctive and vibrant colours. There were also photobooths for staff to capture Raya moments with their colleagues.
