Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore Management University (SMU) to strengthen, promote and develop academic, research and exchange collaboration.
Both parties aim to work together in academic and research programmes, staff and student mobility as well as professional and continuing education programmes.
The signing of the MoU is part of UTP's continued effort to realise its aspiration to become an internationally recognised higher learning institution through collaborations with local and foreign universities.
UTP was represented by the Vice Chancellor Professor Ts. Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib, while SMU was represented by the President Professor Lily Kong.
The signing was witnessed by UTP Chancellor YBhg Tan Sri (Dr) Mohd Hassan Marican, who is also the Chair of SMU Industry Advisory Council Malaysia. YBhg Tan Sri has been instrumental in linking both universities for the collaboration.
